The Mellieha motor-sport festival held recently was a huge success. It was organised by the Mellieha Local Council in collaboration with the Malta Motor Sport Federation and attracted thousands of enthusiasts.

It was the first time that a motor sport event was held in Malta in the late hours.

Hundreds of different type of cars took part in the event which started with a carcade of all participants from Selmun.

Among the cars taking part were those usually taking part in Hill Climbs (first ever at night), mini moto, off-roaders, drifters, BMXs, motorcycles, lorries and old cars.

One of the biggest attractions was the fastest lorry in the world, that os the Maskar Racing Team.
