Greek Authorities break cigarettes smuggling channel

Greek authorities broke cigarettes smuggling channel, the online edition of Greek Naftemporiki newspaper reports. The investigation on the case lasted for two years.

According to the information released, a

transport company used to illegally import cigarettes, declaring them as different goods aimed for non-existing companies. Then, the cigarettes were sent to Malta with fake documents.

The fines that will be imposed on the company are expected to run to around e4 million.
