To celebrate the European Union's Year of Creativity and Innovation, the Malta Union of Bank Employees (MUBE), together with the World Centre for New Thinking – an NGO founded and chaired by Dr Edward de Bono, will be organising a series of training courses for its officials in lateral thinking.

During the month of September, the MUBE will be offering these courses to their officials and members to assist them in navigating the competitive environment of the financial services sector. The courses, which are being jointly designed by the World Centre for New Thinking and the MUBE, will endeavour to give an overview of lateral thinking and will focus mainly on how lateral thinking can add value to the challenges which executive are facing in the financial services sector.
