On behalf of all our members, we wish to congratulate the residents of Wied il-Madonna and express our relief that the proposed development in this Mellieha valley has been halted and the valley has finally been granted the protection it deserves.

As residents of Santa Marija Estate in the valley of Ghajn Zejtuna, we constantly have to act as “valley vigilantes”, by keeping ourselves up to date with all the weekly development applications and sending in objection after objection, in a frustrating attempt to keep our valley safe from further destruction.

We ask Mepa to do its duty and safeguard what remains of ALL our valleys.
