Wishing A friend the best of luck

Malta Independent Tuesday, 4 August 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

When I first came to Gozo, quite a few years ago now, I knew no one. One day I found myself at Mgarr Harbour and called into a little tourist shop run by a lady called Sylvia Grech. From that point on I had a friend, a friendship that survives today.

When the harbour was being re-developed Sylvia lost her little shop and ended up operating out of a small wooden hut, but she remained the same helpful cheerful person she had always been. Sylvia has just recently got the keys to her new shop and I just wanted to wish her all the best for the future.

To all of Sylvia’s friends and indeed those yet to meet her, she can now be found in her shop under the ramp as you come off the ferry. When you come out of the terminal just turn to the left and you will see Mgarr Tourist Services.

To those of you who are visiting Gozo and have not yet met Sylvia please take a few minutes to say hello. Whatever you want to make your stay on Gozo as enjoyable as possible, Sylvia can arrange for you.

Once again, Sylvia thanks for everything and I wish you a long life and good health to continue promoting the island of Gozo.
