Former Argentine midfield star Osvaldo Ardiles who later also became manager of England’s Tottenham Hotspur, arrived yesterday in Malta as the special guest of the local branch of the Spurs Supporters Club and on the

initiative of Ms Carly Barnes. The club has prepared a number of activities to coincide with the former manager of Spurs. The first is being held on Thursday. KRS Distributors and Embassy Cinema Complex, with the support of Warner Bros., Kick Off, Ms Carly Barnes and Tottenham Hotspur Malta, will organise a charity event in aid of Inspire Foundation. The epic movie "Escape to Victory", starring Ossie Ardiles, Pele and Bobby Moore among others, will be shown at 8pm at the Embassy Cinema Complex in Valletta. Ardiles will be the guest of honour at this event. On Friday there will be a buffet BBQ for members and supporters at the Ramla Bay Hotel at 8.30pm. Another activity is scheduled to be held in Gozo on Saturday 8 July at the Vineyard Restaurant in Mgarr Road, Victoria. The event kicks off at 8pm.
