FIFA Referee Chris Lautier will be controlling the Under 21 UEFA Championship Qualifying Round Group 2 match between Switzerland and Estonia to be played in Breite, Schaffhausen (Switzerland) on Wednesday.
FIFA Assistant Referees Konrad G. Borg and Joe Camilleri, with Fourth Official Andre Arciola, are the other members of the refereeing team.
Meanwhile, FIFA Futsal referee Franco Cachia will be controlling his first international matches abroad during a UEFA Futsal Cup 2009-2010 Preliminary Round Group C mini-tournament in Trebinje, Bosnia Herzegovina, between 17 and 20 August. He will be joined by three other referees from Bulgaria, Greece and Italy, together with a timekeeper from the host country. These officials will control the six matches of the tournament.
Course for referee trainers
The Malta FA’s Referees Board is organising a course for trainee referees commencing on Monday 17 August.
Males and females aged 16 to 35 can apply by contacting the Malta FA’s Refereeing Department at the Millennium Stand (Level 2) National Stadium, Ta Qali ATD 4000.

Sessions will be held between Monday 17 August and Thursday 10 September, with written and oral examinations to be held on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 September respectively.
Lectures on different subjects pertaining to the Laws of the Game will be conducted by Messrs Richard Stagno Navarra, Patrick Fenech, Emmanuel Zammit, Victor Mintoff, Tom A. Restall, Gaetano Degabriele, Charles Agius, and a representative of the Malta Football Referees Association, who will deal with MFRA matters.
