The Ladies’ Running Club (LRC) will be holding the 19th annual 10K road race on 18 September at 6pm at Ta’ Qali.

For the fifth year a 6K walk will be held simultaneously following part of the race route. Both the walk and the race will start near the Mdina Glass factory in Ta’ Qali, who are the main sponsors of the race.

This year the LRC will be donating a percentage of the race proceeds to Erb’s Palsy whilst a percentage of the proceeds of the walk will go to the Breast Care Awareness Group.

Cash prizes, a Hilly Reflective Gilet Top and trophy will be awarded to the first three finishers in both the men’s and women’s races. Vouchers from Scotts Supermarket/Pommarola Pizzeria and trophies will be awarded to the first finisher in each age category over 35 to both men and women.

The first LRC finisher will be awarded a special prize in honour of Lina Borg Costanzi, a founder member and inspiration to the club.
