The Summer Powerade Knock-Out tournament was held at the Table Tennis Academy recently as a closure of the events of this year's Summer School.

Under the watchful eyes of Australian coach Edwin Cotter, together with the Academy coaches Mario Genovese and Edward Baldacchino, the students battled it out for the summer title.

Emerging winners are Daniel Vella Fondacaro in the Open event, Andrea Portelli in the Under 15 and the young Dylan Zammit in the Under 12.

Now that the Summer School has come to an end, the first weeks of September are intense with preparations for the upcoming season.

The Academy is holding a five-day morning training camp as a round-up of all the points tackled during the summer.

The camp shall be conducted by Steve Rowe who currently coaches at the Wigan Table Tennis Club in the UK.
