Timely Advice

Malta Independent Friday, 4 September 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 18 years ago

We would like to take the opportunity to show gratitude to the animal ambulance service and the Malta Veterinary Association (MVA) for their timely advice and assistance when our family dog fell ill on a public holiday.

On Santa Maria weekend, we called the animal ambulance service to provide us with information regarding which vets are available during the weekend. They were very understanding and a person got back to us with the emergency number of MVA.

MVA immediately instructed us to contact Blue Cross clinic, Msida. Although rather expensive, the call costs e4.66 (LM2) a minute and can only be made from a Fixed Line. The emergency veterinary in charge during that particular weekend was Martin Debattista, who asked us to take the dog to the clinic. He checked the dog and put our minds at rest charging us a very reasonable price for his services considering it was a weekend.

We would like to thank both entities whole-heartedly for their prompt action and concern!
