Ghajn Tuffieha and Golden Bay are two of the most popular bays in Malta, but one of the main roads leading down to these beaches is partly blocked to traffic because of roadworks.

Roadworks in one part or other of the long road have been ongoing since the beginning of summer, and possibly even before that.

Is it such a big deal for the authorities to postpone planned roadworks in such areas till the end of summer, when the weather is still fine, but the roads less busy?
