The Ukrainian Spirit (Seagull Chaudron) with driver Aaron Ciantar, throttle-man Angelo Tedeschi and navigator Viktor Shemchuk won the overall title at the 10th and final round of the Powerboat P1 World Championships yesterday in Syracuse, Sicily.

Obtaining second place in the final Endurance Race in the Supersport Class yesterday afternoon, and with Baia Attolini managing only third, Seagull Chaudron secured the title with 927 points against Baia Attolini’s 907. Baia Attolini needed to finish two positions better than Seagull Chaudron. But with Team SW1 Capital taking another win and Seagull Chaudron taking second Baia Attolini’s hopes were distinguished.

Meanwhile Parliamentary Secretary for Sports Clyde Puli congratulated the winning driver and Maltese ambassador in the sport Aaron Ciantar for winning the second consecutive title in the Supersport Class.
