Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Opposition leader Joseph Muscat should agree that Malta’s National Day should be on 8 September. As Victory Day, that Day will definitely unite the Maltese Nation.

In fact we should incorporate Independence Day, Republic Day and Victory Day and celebrate all three feasts on 8 September!

Having a National Day on 21 September or 31 March will not unite the Maltese Nation.
