While our Youth Parliament is advocating the morning-after pill in cases of rape, our justice and enforcement systems are pursuing the years-after pill. Known perpetrators undergo trial several years after the crime, when the victim would have forgotten critical minutiae of the horrendous crime. In the meantime perpetrators continue to enjoy their life in freedom, on bail, only to be subsequently acquitted because of lack of timely presentation of evidence.
