The Malta Union of Bank Employees (MUBE) is to host a two-day 2009 UNIMED conference starting tomorrow in Valletta.
The agenda proposed for the conference relates mainly to the economic and financial crises and the role of the international trade union movement in a renewed social dialogue process, with specific reference to southern Europe and the Mediterranean region.
To foster debate, in addition to the local representatives of the Malta Bankers’ Association, MUBE also made it a point to invite the employers’ representative of the European Banking Federation.
Participating countries include Italy, Cyprus, Greece, France, Turkey, Portugal and Spain.
