I write in reference to Jason Azzopardi’s article “Transparency, accountability and justice” (TMID, 24 October).

Such laws as mentioned by Dr Azzopardi are a great step forward in ascertaining that no government can go undisputed in the act of snatching one family’s resources to enrich another. Institutional injustice is a grievous social sin in need of retribution.

Dr Azzopardi deserves praise for having so courageously highlighted this long standing issue to safeguard an important fundamental human right .The scrutiny regarding land owned by the government is similarly another issue long overdue. This is a good piece of legislation which will shore and strengthen the institution of the family.
