The article by Robert Arrigo (Local committees and the Balluta project, TMID, 6 November) has hit the nail on its head. We all, including myself, who form part of the Save Balluta Square Group/Balluta Residents Association wish to thank Mr Arrigo and Evarist Bartolo for raising this subject regarding Balluta Square in Parliament.

At least our representative MPs from both sides of the House seem to care. Yes we do hope we are in time to discuss this project with the council. May goodwill prevail. The mayor after over one month of insistence by us and hundreds of Balluta residents has verbally stated to us that a meeting is being organised for discussion before the end of this month.
