With reference to the article by Stephen Calleja entitled “Luqa mayor accompanies nurse on vaccination exercise in homes” published last Sunday (15 November), may I point out that the MMDNA has a legal and ethical responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of information, as do the nurses in the context of their professional relationship with their patients.

I have checked with my management colleagues and the nurses in the Luqa area and wish to assure your readers that no MMDNA nurse was involved in the incident reported in the article.
