Hosts Stella Maris College were in jubilant mood on Friday as Daniel Bajada and Karl Grech claimed the gold medal of the teams event of the Lasallian international tournament after beating Elie and Abdo of Lebanon 3-2 in the final.

Earlier on, in the semi-finals, Bajada and Grech won 3-1 against Austrian duo Hasieber and Uhlik while Elie and Abdo defeated fellow compatriots Nadim and Rami 3-0.

Stella Maris College chalked up their second gold medal of the event yesterday after Daniel Bajada and Christopher Portelli won the doubles competition in style crushing Austrian duo Hasieber and Uhlik 4-0 in the final. Earlier on they had beaten Nadim and Rami of Lebanon 4-1 in the semi-final.
