Tarxien Rainbows will be facing Hamrun Spartans this evening as the Bank of Valletta Premier League resumes following last week's break.

At present, Tarxien are seventh in the standings on nine points while the Spartans are in eighth place on six points.

The Rainbows are fresh from their impressive 5-1 victory against Balzan Youths in the national anniversary cup while the Spartans also registered a somewhat overwhelming 4-1 win against Mellieha.

Both sides will be seeking the points from today's clash as they both want to improve on their position in the standings.

The Rainbows are passing through a good phase at present, with their Brazilian trio showing impressive form, especially striker Ribeiro.

But they cannot discard the Spartans who hope to be luckier this evening than in most of their league matches so far this season.

The match is being played at the Victor Tedesco Stadium and kicks off at 7.30pm.
