Patrick Gauci, an HSBC employee who was awarded the title of ‘Local Hero’ by the HSBC Group for having detected and stopped a fraud transaction from taking place, has donated his monetary reward of $5,000 to the Malta Community Chest Fund.

On receiving the donation, Mrs Margaret Abela, vice-chairperson of the Malta Community Chest Fund, commended Mr Gauci for his integrity at his place of work and his noble gesture of donating his reward to the fund for the benefit of children in dire need of indispensable medical assistance.
