Keen shoppers eager to give a helping hand to their favourite charitable institutions helped Ariel donate 8,000 laundry washes to St Joseph Home, the Ursuline Sisters’ Creche in Sliema, Ghabex Emergency Shelter and St Patrick’s.
Shoppers at Pavi, Smart, GS Naxxar and Park Towers in Sta Venera helped Ariel donate washes by taking part in the Ariel Games for Charity organised in-store in November. While manoeuvring their trolleys and with an eye on the shelves, adults and children joined in the fun and tried their hand at three simple games. By participating in a free game, shoppers automatically gave five washes to their preferred charity and then doubled those washes when they won In this spirit, Procter & Gamble has decided to double the final amount of washes to a total of a 100 packs and 8,000 washes. During the presentation to representatives of the four institutions, Victor Galea, Managing Director at V.J. Salomone Marketing Ltd, local representatives of Ariel, said: “We are satisfied with the successful outcome of our initiative, not only because we are helping children and their carers but because we have also involved consumers who were so eager to join Ariel’s initiative to give generously.”
Since Ariel’s range of detergents boasts ingredients and properties that make washes effective at temperatures as low as 20°C, the four institutions are also set to save up to 40 per cent of the energy and 15 litres of water per wash.
