Good to hear that someone at the MTA is at last waking up to this fact but I have to ask the question, what about Northern Ireland? The only way I can obtain a direct flight to Malta is to drive all the way to Dublin in the South of Ireland. I have lost count of the number of people I have spoken to in the North, especially the older travelers, who rule out going to Malta because of having to change planes and endure long waits at some airport or other in England.

Northern Ireland has the Belfast International and Belfast City (George Best) airports so when is some airline going to start using them to service Malta?
