I am not a card carrying member of any of the parties in the Italian government but from my humble observations I have reached the conclusion, which might be mistaken I allow, that since the present Italian government led by the Partito della Liberta has started to investigate the rampant tax evasion in that developed country, all hues of mud have been slung at its energetic and successful leader.
Yet I think the common people stand to gain if the very wealthy are made to contribute their share of taxes and not abuse their position. Who knows, maybe neighbouring countries’ leaders might likewise try and stamp out the black economy and do more for an equitable tax burden sharing.
