The Liverpool Supporters Club Malta Gozo Branch recently organised a tour to Liverpool. A group of 31 local supporters watched the home matches against Arsenal and Fiorentina.

During the stay in Liverpool, Charlie Farrugia (PRO - Gozo branch and Chairman Malta branch) Larry Vella (treasurer Gozo branch) and Mario Gatt (member of committee Malta branch) visited Melwood and the Liverpool Academy where Larry Vella presented the club's player of the year award 2008-09 to Steven Gerrard.

Mario Gatt also presented an award to Gerrard who has recently celebrated his 500th game for Liverpool.
