The Autumn VICHY Ladies Team Tennis Tournament, organised at the Pembroke Tennis Club has come to an end. The tournament started on Tuesday, 13 October.

During the games the sponsors gave the players VICHY samples and skin care advice.

The winning team was captained by Nella Valenzia and the players were Mariella Vella, Helen Azzopardi, Sina Azzopardi, Maria Iles, Vera Busuttil, Frida Agius, Rita Cutajar, Edith Hili, Nella Valenzia, Darina Sitarova, Marika Camilleri, Mylene Meli, Anne Selvaggi, Sandra Vella and Rosette Tufinio.

The winning team got 28 points with the second placed team right behind with 27 points.

Jacqueline Cutajar captained this team and players were Gaby Formosa, Antonia Galea, Vicky Tua, Jacqueline Cutajar, Doreen Muscat, Debbie Agius, Carmen Difesa, Pauline Falzon, Vanna Wadge, Lucienne Meli Bellizzi, Rita Montebello, Josette Pugliesvich.

The captains of the five teams that participated in the tournament were Sue Macelli, Jacqueline Cutajar, Nella Valenzia, Phyllis Sullivan and Carol Urry.

Pro-Health Ltd, distributors of VICHY products presented prizes to the teams placed first and second teams, captains and referees during a presentation lunch held on 2 December 2009 at Estilo Restaurant in St Julian’s.
