2M Management Consultancy Ltd and Family Business Solutions Ltd have signed a collaboration agreement to provide specialist services to family businesses. These services will be delivered through a new venture called FBS2M Family Business Consulting. The services provided cover such areas as business and family governance issues, development of various types of family agreements, the setting up of family councils, mentoring of family business partners and directors, strategic succession planning and training services to enterprising families.
The strategic collaboration will help deliver to the local family business community the latest developments in the organisation and management of family businesses, thus helping and assisting enterprising families in the growth and continuity of the enterprising family business to subsequent generations.

The first activity to launch FBS2M Family Business Consulting is the second annual Family Business Conference at the end of January, where members of the FBS2M team will be speaking and leading workshops on governance and succession issues. Following on from the themes developed at the conference, the collaboration will be offering an innovative training programme leading to the Certificate in Family Business Governance. Organised by FBS2M, the programme will help family businesses work towards a governance structure that enhances their ability to pass the family’s wealth from one generation to the next.
