Mark Marlow who left Msida SJ some weeks ago, is firm favourite to coach Sliema Wanderers, after the Sliema post became vacant when the Wanderers and Stephen Azzopardi parted company last Tuesday.

Stephen Azzopardi joined Sliema in 2007 after spells with Balzan Youths and Birkirkara. Last season Azzopardi guided Sliema to a Trophy victory, beating Valletta on penalties in the final.

It was also announced yesterday that Marsaxlokk captain Carlo Mamo has joined Birkirkara on loan for the rest of the season.
