Allow me to express a comment about Marie Benoit’s Diary’ (TMIS, 31 January) in which – after having praised Alfred Sant’s literary effort ‘Pupi’, she went on to attack the ‘Pjazza San Gorg’ (Valletta) rehabilitation, Richard Cachia Caruana, John Dalli and, for good measure, even Lawrence Gonzi himself. She even foretold that politician John Dalli would be contending for the post of PN leader in 2013!

Since she seems to be an expert in party leadership (internal) matters, one wonders why she never wrote anything at all about the MLP leadership race, (concluded on 6 June 2008), even though Evarist Bartolo, (better known as ‘Bartlu’), one of the contestants in this competition, had described the process as ‘poisoned’ and ‘full of venom’. One wonders why.
