As resident of Birkirkara Road, the part near the children’s playing field, I would like to complain about the persistent rowdy scenes that take place in and outside a bar next to our houses. Very often we witness from our balconies fights and arguments that break the silence at night. This is happening very often lately and although many times the police are called to intervene, little action is taken to stop this bad situation. The last fight took place last Sunday where men with blood on their faces were seen brawling against each other with many women screaming their heads off in panic.
A number of mobile police vehicles turned up to calm the scene, but little action against the aggressors seems to have been taken. When is this situation going to stop once and for all? When a more serious incident takes place? Furthermore this bar keeps the loud music blasting throughout the nights causing great inconvenience to those who live near and above this bar. Many residents are quickly changing their abode because they cannot stand more sleepless nights. We also witness frequent reckless double-parking. We ask the police to take adequate action immediately, before it is too late!
