A good number of young tenpin bowlers who form of the MTBA’s national squad structure, recently took delivery of brand new bowling equipment for use during their regular training sessions at the Eden SuperBowl, as well as in league and tournament competition.
This considerable purchase was made possible thanks to the special scheme set up by KMS (Kunsill Malti ghall-iSport), which facilitated government-funded financial assistance totalling some e1.3 million, to no less than 80 locally recognised sporting associations, pertaining to the year 2008.
It is the intention of KMS to provide a similar level of assistance once again for 2009, as previously announced by Clyde Puli, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sport, during an activity at the Cottonera Sports Complex to present the assistance to the various benefiting associations.
