Canadian organizers have assured the International Olympic Committee that everything is ready for the start of the Vancouver Winter Games.
Organizing committee leader John Furlong made his final pre-games presentation to the IOC yesterday, a day before the opening ceremony.
Furlong says, "If it's ever possible to say that you are ready, we are ready."
He says when the Olympic torch arrives in Vancouver on Thursday night, "life as we know it is going to change."
The Olympic venues have all been locked down and "have a magical feel to them," he said.
Furlong says there may be some protests but that is normal for Vancouver and he expects them to be well
managed.
