Following my letter to The Malta Independent on Sunday, published on 20 December 2009 entitled “It’s the innocent victim who has to pay”, I wanted to update you on events.
I was subsequently refunded the e700 as promised. This however still left e242 outstanding. I received a phone call in January from Steve Conti of Atlas, my insurance company. He had read my letter and followed up in a most positive manner. I am pleased to report that thanks to Mr Conti’s endeavours, I have now been fully refunded.
I would publicly like to thank Mr Conti and Atlas for excellent customer service and for bringing this unfortunate situation to a satisfactory conclusion.
