Mariano Pirrone, 32, from Naxxar, yesterday was handed down a six-month jail term suspended for three years by magistrate Anthony Vella for stealing objects not exceeding €2,329 in value from his ex-employer Stephen Micallef, the owner of a company entitled Alu Care.
Mr Pirrone was also accused of attempting to resell the stolen objects.
Prosecution was led by police inspector Paul Bond, while lawyer Marion Camilleri appeared on behalf of Mr Pirrone.
