The 10th edition of the Sliema WFC Nursery tournament came to an end with the exciting final of the U/14 category played between the nurseries of Pieta H. and Birkirkara, which ended with a 3-1 win for the boys from Pieta. A match to determine third and fourth placing between Sliema and Mosta was eventually won by the Sliema Nursery.

During this four-day football festival, Melita FC Nursery managed to place first in the categories U/12 and U/13 while Mosta Nursery placed first in the U/11 category.

At the end of the final game, Stephen Abela the Sliema Wanderers FC president, presented a handsome trophy to the Pieta team as winners of the U/14 category.

He also thanked all the helpers, the Sliema nursery staff coaches and the hard working nursery administration for their dedication to organise such a tournament and giving so many youngsters the opportunity to display their skills. Alex Pace, Sliema Nursery secretary, thanked the Malta Football Referees Association for their cooperation and all sponsors for their assistance in making such an event possible.
