The Tarxien Local Council was ordered to remove the bus shelter in Tarxien Road that was next to the ex Police Station. The Transport Authority issued the order and the reason given was that the bus shelter contrasted badly with the historical building of Dar Aspinall.

One has to keep in mind that this bus shelter has been situated there for quite a number of years and no authority has ever complained. Besides, I doubt whether those responsible for this order have contemplated the inconvenience they caused to those who use this bus stop frequently during the rainy and hot seasons.
