I was happy to know that PBS’ Sunday night’s drama F’Salib it-Toroq has now become the most popular show on the Maltese islands.
Sooner or later, it had to happen that Xarabank had to give way. I am sure that, however, the producers will be doing their best to regain the top spot. After all, Xarabank is the place where people from all walks of life are given the chance to air their views.
But, to go back to F’Salib it-Toroq, I think that apart from the story line which captivates the audience, the reason for its success is the good acting that we see.
It is better, much better, than the pseudo-acting that took place in the previous drama that we could see on a Sunday night on PBS. KC may have been popular too, but the acting levels were far below the quality seen on the current Sunday show.
So, well done to the producers and actors of F’Salib it-Toroq. May your success continue in the future, and may PBS go for more of this kind of production.
