Join The 4.5k Women’s Day fun run/walk

The Maltese Olympic Committee is inviting everyone to celebrate International Women’s Day with a Fun Run/Walk for Women sponsored by alli.

Everyone is invited to join in this event and take part in this celebration of Women in Sport which will start and finish at the Dolmen Resort Hotel.

The programme of the event includes registration at 8am, followed by a light aerobic warm-up exercise 10 minutes before the run. Starting time for runners is 8.30am and 9am for walkers, and the route will pass along the Qawra promenade with a turning point near Qawra Palace Hotel, returning along the same route to finish at the start line.

The route is 4.5 km in total and will take around 30 minutes for those who wish to jog and around an hour for those who wish to walk.

Afterwards, participants and supporters are invited to visit a Health Expo which will also take place in the Dolmen Resort Hotel between 8.30am and 11.30am, entrance is free of charge and is open to the general public, participants and supporters of the “alli Women’s Day Fun Run/Walk”.

Various stands and experts will be available offering free information on Health issues and will be providing ‘give-aways’ to all.

On display will be information from the Health Promotion Unit, and several products which include alli , BreatheRight, Biofreeze, Benna, Vichy, Gillette, Gensan.

For the “alli Women’s Day Fun Run/Walk” there is no participation fee and water stations will be made available. All participants will also receive a T-shirt which should be worn during the event.
