Becoming a fitness professional requires dedication and responsibility, qualities that are required for most careers and, like many industries, it is one that constantly evolves and therefore ongoing knowledge and education is

essential.

Gillian Grech and Celine Fenech Adami are two fitness professionals who have worked in the fitness industry for 15 years. Through their experience and ongoing education, they have affiliated themselves with OCR (Oxford, Cambridge & Royal Society of Arts UK), to offer Maltese people the opportunity to obtain a recognised international qualification in this field.

“Before embarking on any type of course, it is important to research the validity of the certification”, say Gillian and Celine. “If the qualification is awarded by an internationally recognised qualifying body such as OCR, then you can work anywhere in the world with it.”

The last two courses directed by Celine and Gillian were specifically for exercise to music (aerobic instructor). However, this year the level 2 gym instructor qualification will also be offered. The courses start in April and both theory and practical training will be given to students over a 16-week period. All students will be assessed by verifiers from OCR UK.
