As an avid reader and great lover of poetry, I keep constant track of what the Ghaqda Poeti Maltin is currently doing. Sometimes, when I can manage it, I also attend some of its activities.

I wish to congratulate the Ghaqda for the success achieved by two of its members in the last National Book Competition, namely Joseph Sciberras for his Leggendi and Charles Bezzina for his Meta Siket l-Bahar, two books of poetry that fully deserve the prize they have been awarded.

Well done to them both and to the Ghaqda Poeti Maltin for its tireless efforts to promote poetry, both locally and abroad.
