Marsa-Mgarr 2-3
Marsa dictated the run of play early on during the first period and after three minutes they lost a clear goal scoring opportunity through Kevin Naudi.
Then a Kevin Xerri free-kick was saved by Carbonaro and in the 15th minute the latter turned the ball onto the post off a strong shot by Johan Camilleri.
Mgarr replied on 25 minutes through Chris Abela whose shot was saved with difficulty by Keith Brincat. Play was now quite balanced with Marsa going close in the 38th minute through Kevin Naudi whose shot was well saved by Carbonaro and four minutes later they took the lead through a tremendous shot by Kevin Xerri.
In added time Marsa made it 2-0 with Steve Buhagiar heading in from a Duncan Garcia corner-kick.
After the break Mgarr pushed forward and after going close through a Neil Busuttil free-kick, they managed to reduce the arrears in the 57th minute through Johan Said.
Five minutes later they managed to make it two-all with Chris Abela finishing off from a good move by Matthew Muscat with Abela wasting a clear opportunity through Abela.
In the 80th minute Mgarr got the winning goal through substitute Karl Vella who took advantage from a mistake by the Marsa keeper.

Mtarfa-Luqa SA 0-3
Mtarfa dictated the proceedings throughout the first-half and after 10 minutes a low shot by Giorgio Cumbo was saved by the Luqa custodian Paul Psaila.
Then Mtarfa were very close through Hamoudi Hussan and Jeffrey Azzopardi with Luqa wasting a clear opportunity on 28 minutes as Malcolm Tirchett shot straight into Duncan Galea when all alone in front of goal.
Just before the break Mtarfa had a free-kick taken by Roderick Sammut which just missed the target. After the change of ends it was Luqa who attacked for long stretches.
They were very close in the 51st minute through a Steve Callus free-kick but they managed to open the score in the 67th minute through a strong close-range shot by Malcolm Tirchett.
Mtarfa’s reaction produced a Cedric Zahra crosshot which was well saved by Paul Psaila but on 83 minutes Luqa assured themselves of the three points through Malcolm Tirchett’s second goal. Four minutes from time Tirchett notched his hat-trick for a 3-0 final scorline.

Siggiewi-Kalkara 1-2
Kalkara took advantage of the strong wind during the first-half and dictated the proceedings going close early on through attempts by Neville Zerafa and Martin Ciantar which were splendidly saved by the Siggiewi custodian Roderick Vella.
In the 12th minute Kalkara opened the score through a low shot by Johan Tonna and in the 25th minute the same striker headed just wide.
In the 37th minute Kalkara hit the post off a Marin Ciantar free-kick with Siggiewi losing a clear opportunity through Josef Vassallo.
Just before the break Kalkara increased their lead through another goal scored by Johan Tonna who took advantage from an indecision by the Siggiewi keeper.
After the change of ends Siggiewi dictated the run of play and early on were very close through Jason Camilleri and Shaun Farrugia.
In the 55th minute Kalkara were denied by Roderick Vella off a low shot by Kevin Tonna with Siggiewi reducing the arrears in the 71st minute through a rising shot by Jason Camilleri.
In the 90th minute Siggiewi were unlucky when a shot by Jason Camilleri hit the crossbar.

Fgura-Pembroke Ath 0-2
Pembroke played the better football throughout the first period and after going close through Andrew Scerri, the same player managed to give them the lead on 22 minutes with a low shot from the edge of the penalty area.
After the break Fgura gained the initiative and after going close through Glen Azzopardi Busuttil, they managed to score in the 55th minute through Carl Calvagna who was however in an offside position and the goal was disallowed.
In the 61st minute Pembroke were close as a shot by Andrew Scerri was cleared off the goal line and two minutes later they lost a clear opportunity through Carlo Leonardi.
However Pembroke managed to seal their win in the 74th minute as a good move by Andrew Scerri was finished off by Liam Camilleri.
Late in the match Pembroke were denied by Attard off two successive shots by Andrew Scerri.

Section B
Sirens-Kirkop 3-1
Kirkop were close early on through Benoit Buhagiar and Michael Theuma and on another occasion they were denied by Adam Fretwell off an angled shot by Brian Falzon.
Sirens wasted a clear opportunity through Giovanni Galea but they took the lead in the 20th minute through a low shot by Alan Xuereb who took advantage from an indecision by a Kirkop defender.
Two minutes later Kirkop drew level through a beautiful goal scored by Christian Mifsud following a personal effort.
On the half hour the Sirens’ keeper brought off an excellent save to deny Brian Falzon and just before the end of the first period Alan Deidun headed just wide from a Busuttil free-kick.
After the change of ends Sirens played the better football but it was Kirkop who went close through a Josef Attard corner-kick which was cleared off the goal line.
On the hour Sirens took the lead through a close-range shot by their captain Kristian Galea and a minute later they further increased their lead to 3-1 through Glenn Gatt following a personal effort.
Kirkop reacted but were never really dangerous as Sirens created the best opportunities, twice going close through Ryan Theuma.

Qrendi-Xghajra T 1-4
The first half was a balanced affair with Xghajra taking the lead after just five minutes through a long-range shot by Christian Magro.
Then Xghajra were close through Brian Magro but in the 12th minute Qrendi drew level AS Aaron Pendry scored from a direct free-kick.
In the 27th minute Xghajra were close when a shot by Renald Bonello was well saved by Qrendi’s keeper Clifford D’Amato but they regained the lead in the 43rd minute through Juergen Cassar following good work by Jonathan Cachia.
After the break Xghajra dominated the proceedings and in the 52nd minute they made it
3-1 with Christian Magro heading in from a Marjos Muscat corner-kick.
Three minutes later Xghajra added a fourth goal through Neil Attard and the latter was again close with a shot which just missed the target. Xghajra continued to push forward and late in the match were again very close through Juergen Cassar and Lawrence Mallia.
