As you know, Island Sanctuary is a totally voluntary and non-profit making organisation.

To keep the sanctuary going and give the best to our dogs, such as food, medication, veterinary visits, maintenance of premises and so on entails a lot of expense.

We depend entirely on the generosity of people.

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage people to give a second chance to dogs at the sanctuaries. You can never understand the kind of love these maltreated dogs are able to give unless you have experienced it. I can assure you it is very different from the love given by dogs that have never suffered.

I would also like to make an appeal for used and unwanted soft toys. Our residents simply love them!
