Econetique’s successful participation in the recent Property Expo has spurred the company to take up a participating stand in the forthcoming Eco Spring Home Fair due at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali between 18 and 21 March.
Econetique, a subsidiary of the FXB Group, specialises in the provision of eco-friendly industry supplies. The company has been in operation for over a year, however it is set to officially open its Eco Technology Showcase Office in Xewkija, Gozo, in the first weeks of April. Econetique also operates from the FXB outlets in Qormi and Msida.
“Encouraged by the response during the Property Fair, we are expecting even more positive feedback and public interest especially in the light of the spiralling cost of fuel which has spurred companies, individuals and whole countries to re-assess their energy requirements,” says Ing. Ryan Xuereb, Managing Director of Econetique. “We are conscious that everyone is seeing how best they can maximise the money spent in their utility bills and if possible, decrease the related expenses. The present situation is becoming increasingly unsustainable and eventually, eco-conscious solutions are about to become a way of life. This is where Econetique comes in. We have a proposition to promote forward eco-thinking and eco-friendly solutions that favour a greener and more favourable environment.”
Mr Xuereb added, “Honestly, we never expected that the Property Fair would lead to the feedback and the tangible interest that we are getting now. In fact we are in a position to confirm that Econetique is already following up a number of projects resulting from the property fair which is extremely encouraging,” said Ing. Xuereb.
“Our innovative vertical wind turbine, designed purposely for an urban environment, was the obvious protagonist that took the limelight at the Property Expo and naturally, we are expecting this attention to be repeated from all those visiting the Eco fair,” said Ing. Xuereb. “In fact everyone was so curious about it. Comments ranged from “it looks like it came out of Science Fiction” to “it looks like a work of Art”. We also had interesting discussions with a number of architects who wanted to integrate it into their designs to use it as a functional sculpture and an attraction for their project.”
“Architects and designers were also very interested in our Urban Furniture as in our PV/Energy Efficient Street/Park Lighting. In fact public interest in PVs was very encouraging even though the public still needs to know more about the system and how it actually works. Having said that, we are following a number of large PV installations, whereby we are also compiling the respective ERDF energy grant application. Other factors which drew people’s attention to our stand were the LED lighting range as well as products related to insulation especially from developers and contractors who are now very aware of the requirements that every project will need to have for an Energy Efficiency Ratings Certificate.”
