Frank Salt Real Estate Increases its presence on the Swedish market

Malta Independent Sunday, 21 March 2010, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Over the last few years, Malta and its property market have registered a significant increase in interest from Scandinavian countries, particularly Sweden. This is in part thanks to ongoing initiatives and promotions undertaken by Frank Salt Real Estate and a number of other local real estate agencies to promote Malta and its attractions to foreign nationals.

Frank Salt Real Estate has been a pioneer in investing in this market and so far, 2010 has been no exception, as the company has already participated in two national property exhibitions and a number of seminars in Stockholm and Gothenburg, entitled Living Abroad. These property fairs are two of the largest and best supported exhibitions in Sweden and attract over 7,000 visitors, as well as people from the neighbouring countries of Finland, Norway and Denmark. Company director Douglas Salt and Sliema branch manager George Vassallo, together with EMD Advocates and Frank Salt Real Estate’s Swedish representatives, attended the exhibitions.

“More initiatives targeting the Swedish market are in the pipeline, including participation in other property exhibitions and the hosting of journalists and celebrities, as well as holding a road show across the country. However, Frank Salt Real Estate’s foreign investment does not stop at Sweden,” said Mr Salt, on his return from Gothenburg. “The response Malta is receiving from the international market has seen a steady increase over the last six months.”

“We are seeing the first signs of the recovery of the international economic situation,” added managing director Joseph Lupi, “and we are fully geared to maximise this opportunity and promote Maltese properties in promising markets. In fact, this year we are planning to attend over 10 property exhibitions, with an investment running into tens of thousands of euros.”
