HSBC Bank Malta recently announced the formation of the HSBC Foundation to better integrate the Bank’s corporate sustainability programmes. This consolidates the three existing Funds (HSBC Cares for Children, HSBC Cares for the Environment, and HSBC Cares for Malta’s Heritage Fund) into one foundation. The main focus of the foundation, which will be chaired by Mrs Catherine Gonzi, remains on underprivileged children, the environment and Malta’s heritage.

Mr Alan Richards, CEO of HSBC Malta, said: “We have simplified the structure of the funds supporting our work in the local community with the creation of the HSBC Foundation. The creation of a single foundation is designed to help us increase our ongoing support for children, heritage and the environment in Malta.”
