Global Finance magazine has named BOV the Best Bank in Malta in an exclusive survey undertaken earlier this year. Global Finance editors obtain the input of industry analysts, corporate executives and banking consultants to choose the Best Bank in 22 countries on criteria that include growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative products.
The international magazine, first published in 1987, provides financial news and analysis to more than 180,000 readers in 163 countries and has been selecting the top performing banks every year for 17 years.
“We are delighted to receive this award once again,” stated Tonio Depasquale, Chief Executive Officer at Bank of Valletta, when the award was announced. “This accolade confirms that our relentless pursuit of excellence in banking is not only recognised by our loyal customers but also by analysts beyond our shores.” He concluded by expressing his gratitude to all BOV employees for their hard work during the period under review.
“We remain in an unusually challenging environment for banks and their customers,” said Joseph Giarraputo, publisher of Global Finance, at a press conference in New York. “More than ever, customers are demanding superior competence from their banking partners.
These are the banks best providing that competence.”
