MaltaPost recently celebrated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Day, which is commemorated annually on 19 March, by taking two major initiatives.

Members of management and staff gave monthly cash donations from their salary. These donations were directed to The Community Chest Fund, Inspire Foundation, Puttinu Cares Foundation, Malta Hospice Movement and Dar tal-Povidenza. The other initiative consisted of carrying out various work such as whitewashing, kitchen duties and cleaning at Dar tal-Providenza on 18 March and allocating the equivalent in funds of a day’s vacation leave to the same cause.

In a statement, MaltaPost observed,:“MaltaPost is committed to making a significant contribution to the society in which it operates, particularly members who are considerably more vulnerable than others because of the difficult situations with which they have to cope. Our help as an organisation to various charitable causes has been consistent over the years.”
