Cybergaming Consultants Ltd recently participated in the International Gaming Expo (IGE) at Earls Court, London for the third year running. Chairman Michael Bianchi expressed his satisfaction with the opportunities created by the London expo – not only for service providers, but also for online gaming operators who want to

penetrate regulated jurisdictions.

This year’s IGE was a huge success, attracting over 20,000 visitors with over 250 companies displaying their products and

services.

Cybergaming Consultants is a leading online gaming consultancy that assists major industry players to become licensed in regulated jurisdictions, including Malta. It also provides a wide range of services to online gaming operators who want to set up corporate structures in a regulated environment. The services of the company have been engaged by tier-one operators, including the world’s largest gaming software provider. Cybergaming Consultants has also developed strategic synergies with third parties in several countries, thereby adding value to the service rendered to clients.

Mr Bianchi emphasised that Malta is optimally positioned to be at the forefront of licensing jurisdictions, adding that Cybergaming Consultants will continue to push for ground-breaking regulatory

models that will build on Malta’s past

success in this regard and take the jurisdiction to the next level.

Dr Anthony Axisa, CEO of Cybergaming Consultants, is a former legal and enforcement director of the Lotteries and Gaming Authority and has co-authored and drafted Malta’s Remote Gaming Regulations. He has brought his regulatory experience to the gaming industry, in order to assist operators make a seamless transition into regulated environments. He contends that while the Lotteries and Gaming Authority is continuously honing its skills and becoming increasingly efficient as a world-class regulator, the Maltese government needs to continue to be pro-active on a European level to safeguard the freedom of movement of gaming services. However, he believes that this is an effort worth making, given that this year’s IGE is ample proof of the healthy interest that the online gaming industry has in Malta.
