Incidentally, when Rowan Williams criticised the Catholic Church in Ireland he did so as an Anglican Archbishop. His particular biblical credentials enable him to continue living in a glasshouse while throwing stones. As with other Protestants, he picks and chooses from the Bible because he does not adhere to the qualifying condition that he listens to those appointed through the uninterrupted laying of hands and in communion with the See of Peter from the time of Jesus, and not by following the selective Biblical interpretation of any ‘pastor’ who cannot claim historical continuity with the Church of the Apostles.
