Following last February’s exhibition in Stockholm, Dhalia Real Estate Services attended its second property fair in Sweden since the beginning of the year, when it participated in one of the most prestigious and largest property fairs in Scandinavia, the Fairmedia Exhibition, which was held at the Slagthuset in Malmo on 20 and 21 March.
Prior to the property fair, Dhalia and its Swedish partner Maltamaklarna held a seminar where they discussed the Maltese Islands and their property market. This seminar was opened by Malta’s Counsellor and Chargé d’Affaires in Denmark Ms Deborah Attard Montalto who introduced the subject to a fully-packed hall. The audience was then addressed by Inger Soderlund of Maltamaklarna, Goran Andersson of Tax Zero, John Huber of John Huber and Associates, and Dorothy Baldacchino of The Kempinski Residences. The overwhelmingly successful seminar was attended by a vast and diverse audience and sought to explain a number of issues related to Malta as a possible choice for retirement, holidaying, as well as buying property in Malta.
Following the seminar’s success, Dhalia’s participation in the Fairmedia Exhibition was exceedingly well received. Indeed, Neville Sciberras, manager of Dhalia’s Sliema Branch who was present at the exhibition commented that, “Sweden has become a regular venue for the company. The response from the public has been overwhelming and increasingly encouraging.”
Fair Media International is Scandinavia’s largest organiser of exhibitions for overseas property, and has organised more than 40 exhibitions featuring over 30 different countries in the past six years alone.
The exhibitions have been very successful indeed and attracted tens of thousands of visitors, making them a success both for the organiser but more importantly for the exhibitors.
This has been Dhalia’s sixth international property fair since the beginning of this year and the real estate agency is planning to actively participate in a series of other seminars, conferences and property exhibitions through the rest of 2010, all of which will be held in different locations overseas. Dhalia Real Estate is fast becoming Malta’s agency of choice to most foreign investors seeking to take up residence in Malta and such international property fairs are also an opportunity for Dhalia to open a window on the vast opportunities emerging in Malta.
